At a Distance, Spring Is Green
멀리서 보면 푸른 봄Checked and re-read
A campus drama that hides a depression story inside a friendship story, and the friendship is the better half. Park Ji Hoon and Bae In Hyuk carry it with a bromance that earns more investment than the romantic subplot, which arrives late and leaves early. Twelve episodes is the right length: it says what it has to say about isolation and performative happiness without padding. The romance never catches up to the male friendships, and that gap is the only real flaw.
A coming of age story about young people in their twenties and the problems they face in university. Nam Soo-hyun and Yeon Joo, two boys with contrasting personalities, unexpectedly become friends when they work on a project together.
Hooks early Episode 2, once the three of them are stuck working together and the masks start slipping.
