The premiere is genuinely unsettling, the human-experimentation premise is strong, and then the show stretches rather than sharpens, leaving several details unexplained and one ambiguity in place that feels like laziness rather than design. A 7.8 from about four thousand rating voters. The premiere is the show, and everything after it is the show stretching.
A former medical school dropout claiming to be able to cure terminal illnesses is sentenced to death for the murder of 17 people. Is he a monstrous killer, or a savior holding the cure for humanity?
Hooks early Episode 1 is the high point of the run by a clear margin. Nothing after it gets back to that, though the drop is not a straight line.
